Unique wall art made of genuine sea glass from England in beautiful pastel colors - white, aqua, lavender, yellow, and green.
Made of genuine hand-picked sea glass from beaches of Seaham, England. Affixed with glue to a light pink chalk painted wood 6 x 6 inch plaque. “love you” in black.
Light silver gray velvet ribbon attached for hanging.
All of the sea glass is hand picked from Seaham, England.
Seaham is a costal town Northeast of England and was home to many bottle making factories during the Victorian and Edwardian eras. One of the largest, The Londonderry Bottleworks produced 20,000 hand blown bottles a day, in different colors. The would dump large amounts of waste glass straight into the North Sea and that’s where Seaham’s sea glass story began! With each new tide you can find these pastel gems along the shore, which have been shaped and smoothed by the North Sea for over 100 years.
Did you know that authentic sea glass is becoming harder to find? With the mass production of plastic bottles, natural sea glass is becoming a treasure of the past.
