Hi, I’m Lori, and I believe the best things come with a little history.

My love of vintage began with a single, unforgettable moment. Standing in a thrift store aisle, surrounded by beautifully worn pieces full of character and craftsmanship, I felt something shift. I did not see forgotten objects. I saw stories waiting to be told again. That moment lit a spark, and it never left.

Since then, I have become a devoted treasure hunter, wandering flea markets, antique shops, estate sales, and tucked away barns in search of pieces that feel soulful. I am drawn to items that stir a memory, spark curiosity, or instantly make a house feel like home. Not perfect. Not pristine. Just meaningful.

Alongside curating vintage, I am also a creative and an artist. Painting allows me to slow down and tell stories in a different way, inspired by the same sense of history, texture, and quiet beauty that draws me to old things. My artwork is created with the same intention as the pieces I collect, meant to feel timeless, soulful, and at home in a collected space.

Through Fairy Dust and Rust, I share thoughtfully curated vintage collections, seasonal offerings, and timeless treasures, both online and in person at Midwest Memories in Tipp City, Ohio. Each piece is hand selected with care and guided as much by feeling as by form.

One of my favorite offerings is the L’or Box, a seasonal surprise box released throughout the year. Each box is a curated experience filled with vintage, antique, and unique finds, wrapped and revealed with a sense of wonder. It is meant to feel like a pause in the season, a small moment of joy, and a reminder that beautiful things are meant to be discovered slowly.
