NEW IN THE SHOP

As with most vintage items, there is always a story.  Often it's overlook, and even taken for granted as just another decor piece or household item. In fact, they all have a story and purpose.

It’s the history behind that piece that makes our hearts skip a beat that makes us fall completely in love.

  • CIRCA VINTAGE

  • ANTIQUE INKWELLS

Penny Inks hold a special place in the hearts of antique collectors. Similar to English Advertising pots, these inkwells had a single purpose before being discarded. Bottle hunters and diggers continue to unearth them from lakes, rivers, and trash tips across England.

Remarkably, many are discovered fully intact, now boasting a century's worth of patina and allure. Ranging in a spectrum of blues from the palest aqua to the deepest teal, each inkwell serves as a precious momento, providing a nostalgic glimpse into the past.

  • ENGLISH ADVERTING POTS

Enthusiasts and excavators in the U.K. have been unearthing and reviving English pottery for the last 60 years. Most of these pieces of history (circa 1900) were a one-time use.

After the contents were emptied, the pot was discarded into the Victorian waste tips of London. Because these pots are made of Ironstone or Stoneware they do not burn and we are lucky to recover these relics from the past.

After being buried for over a decade we find them with full of character with beautiful rust and gray staining from the soil and intricate webs of beautiful crazing.

  • VINTAGE TURPENTINE POT

These pots add a touch of Southern history and charm to any home!

These vintage terra-cotta pots, known as Herty pots, were designed by chemist Charles Herty in the early 1900s to collect pine resin for turpentine production.

Creative ways to use these pots today!

    • Use as a planter for herbs and fresh flowers
    • Storage for Kitchen utensils or Art Brushes
    • Hang on a pegboard for gardening tools

Collectibles (n):

Not necessarily an age term. Items range from extremely valuable objects that are almost as old as antiques, to simple things that may hold only nominal value to the person who gathered them into a collection.
